Prof. Suttisak Sonlump, Head of the Geotechnical and Foundation Engineering Research and Development Center, Kasetsart University, stated that in general, the design of foundations, which are the main part of bearing the weight of large projects, will be calculated by engineers to be consistent with the soil conditions in that area, regardless of whether the construction area is hard or soft soil, depending on the correct calculation.
